The Nordic Rheology Society invites nominations for the NRS Rheology Awards 2026, which will be announced at the 35th Nordic Rheology Conference in Lund, Sweden.
The Carl Klason Rheology Award is given to a senior researcher, who has made outstanding contributions to rheology and is or was active in the Nordic countries
The Young Rheologist Award is given to an early-career researcher, who has conducted outstanding work on the graduate and postgraduate level at a research institution in the Nordic countries
A letter describing the nominee and the motivation for the nomination may be submitted by all members of the Nordic Rheology Society to the NRS President
Olli-Ville Laukkanen or to
nrs@nordicrheologysociety.org. The awardees will be selected by the NRS Award Committee, consisting of Annika Sahlström, Kurt Ingar Draget, Ole Hassager and Jón Elvar Wallevik.
The deadline for nominations is 15 January 2026.

In 2025, the awards were given to
Prof. Mats Stading (RISE) and
Julie Frost Dahl (Aarhus University).
