We cordially invite you to join us at the combined Annual European Rheology Conference & Nordic Rheology Conference in Copenhagen, Denmark, 3rd - 6th April, 2017.

The AERC meetings have seen an ever-growing number of delegates in the past years, and we expect the joint European and Nordic conference to be no exception to this. The message from the ESR members has been noted: We aim at creating a meeting that caters for rheologists from every field of the science, from a variety of industrial applications to the topics of more academic interest. With a cross-disciplinary organizing committee consisting of members from two different universities and two industrial partners we are also confident we can make this happen.

This year the AERC will be jointly organized with the Nordic Rheology Conference, the 26th NRC in the row. The Nordic conferences are organized annually by enthusiastic volunteers in turns in Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden, and they have a welcoming, informal atmosphere, which offers an excellent platform for networking with old and new colleagues, also to the newcomers to the field. One should not forget the enjoyable conference banquets that have over the years, in addition to delicious Nordic cuisine, included activities from boat trips to getting familiar with sauna and swimming in a lake, sea, and geothermal waters of the Blue Lagoon. Despite the larger audience expected in 2017 we aim to keep the laid-back spirit of the Nordic Conferences, where everyone will feel welcome!
